JB Planning Associates coordinated a multi-disciplinary team as Lead Consultant on the promotion of a new settlement for up to 10,000 homes, new secondary school, six primary schools, a new town centre, six local centres, a new country park and extensive open space uses and structural landscaping.
The site was promoted through the South Cambridgeshire Local Development Framework through the various stages of public consultation and also at the examinations of the Core Strategy and Area Action Plan.
The project involved extensive community engagement working with the appointed communications consultants. A travelling exhibition was staged over a five day period in order to gauge public opinion in the local communities in the surrounding villages.
The specialist consultant team included Masterplanners, Landscape Architects, Ecologists, Transportation and Drainage consultants and EIA co-ordinators.
