The practice has a strong track record of successfully negotiating planning permission for new development. We submit applications for planning permission, listed building and conservation area consents, applications for change of use to land and buildings, applications for alternative development certificates, and applications for certificates of lawfulness.
Local Development Frameworks are documents produced by local councils to guide future development in their area, and include both land allocations and the policies which form the ‘blueprint’ against which planning applications and appeals are determined. We participate in the preparation of LDFs on behalf of our clients, both in terms of promoting sites and providing input to planning policy formulation.
Where planning permission or other consents have been refused, we represent clients at appeal. We submit written evidence and provide expert witness services on planning matters at Informal Hearings and Public Inquiries.
