
Change of use of Listed Building
JBPA were the lead consultants providing planning and development advice in successfully bring forward an application to change the use of a vacant office building in the City of London for residential use.
Whittington House is a Grade ll Listed Building within the St Anne’s Conservation Area and is adjacent to St Michael’s Paternoster Royal, which is a Grade I Listed Church.
The proposals were for 8 high quality residential apartments comprising one and two bed units and also included a terraced balcony. JBPA led pre-application meetings with the planning and conservation officers and coordinated and instructed the supporting consultant team, which included architects, historic building, structural, environmental health and daylight and sunlight consultants.
JBPA assisted the applicant collate the necessary marketing evidence, provided input into Design and Access Statement and produced a Supporting Planning Statement. After collating and submitting the planning application JBPA monitored the Statutory and non-Statutory consultation responses and resolved any outstanding matters. This process included meeting the adjoining property owner to discuss the proposals.
