On behalf of CALA Homes (North Home Counties) Ltd, JB Planning Associates are pleased to announce that the S106 agreement, associated with a residential development in Hertford comprising 68 new dwellings, has been signed by all parties and the planning permission has now been granted by East Herts District Council.
The Council’s Planning Committee granted planning permission at the end of April subject the completion of a S106 agreement. The timely completion of the S106 agreement (9 weeks from the resolution to grant) follows positive negotiations with the Council.
The S106 agreement secures financial contributions towards local services and infrastructure, as well affordable housing, biodiversity measures and highways improvements.
JB Planning Associates lead the pre-application process and provided support through the masterplanning stages and public engagement and coordinated the preparation, submission and management of the planning application.
The site is allocated in the adopted East Herts District Plan (2018) for approximately 50 dwellings. However, it was successfully argued that the site could suitably accommodate more than this figure. The approval allows CALA Homes to construct 68 new high-quality dwellings in this desirable location on the southern edge of the town.
