JB Planning Associates successfully negotiated and secured planning permission for the redevelopment of this under-utilised site allowing the existing bungalow to be replaced with six new high quality homes comprising a detached house, a pair of semi-detached houses and three terraced houses.
The houses have been sympathetically designed to respect the character and appearance of the St Albans Conservation Area, in which the site is located, and to ensure that the setting of nearby listed buildings are not materially harmed.
JB Planning Associates provided planning and development consultancy advice at both the pre-application and post-submission phases and was tasked with collating and submitting the application, monitoring the statutory and non-statutory consultation responses and resolving any matters that arose during the course of the application.
Through JB Planning Associates engagement with the Council, it was able to ensure that the scheme received a positive recommendation by officers when presented to the planning committee.
The development will allow a more efficient use of this highly-sustainable site located within the historic core of St Albans.
