Mixed use development comprising 342 dwellings, employment land, a nursing home, and doctor’s surgery.
JB Planning Associates secured outline planning permission in November 2014 for 275 dwellings, employment land, a nursing home, doctors surgery and primary school. The application, which was supported by an Environmental Impact Assessment, demonstrated to the Council that the proposals constituted sustainable development, in the context of a housing land supply shortfall.
JB Planning Associates subsequently secured a resolution to grant full planning permission in December 2016 for an additional 67 dwellings on part of the site that had been identified for the primary school. This responded to a review by the Education Authority which deemed the school to be surplus to requirements. JB Planning Associates also supported negotiations with the Council over the Reserved Matters application for the original 275 dwellings.
