Project Description:
Redevelopment of former bowling green site for residential development, along with replacement bowling green facility in the Green Belt.
Case Study:
Sports and leisure facilities must continually improve so that users can enjoy the best the sport has to offer to be able to compete locally and nationally. Bishop’s Stortford Bowling Club were using outmoded bowling greens and suffering with substandard accommodation in the town.
JB Planning Associates successfully negotiated with a local developer to build a new state of the art bowling green facility on the edge of the town, including two County standard greens with a brand-new clubhouse and parking for the club.
In exchange, the clubs existing facility became available for development. Following negotiation with the local planning authority, JB Planning Associates secured permission for 38 new flats.
