Prior approval for the change of use of offices to 27 apartments.
JB Planning Associates secured prior approval in May 2016 for the change of use of an office building in Hammersmith to residential apartments. The application followed an earlier refusal by the Local Planning Authority on grounds that insufficient information had been provided with respect to flood risk, which was an issue given the site’s location within Flood Zone 3. Officers also considered the installation of folding doors to create an open landscaped courtyard to be an external alteration that did not benefit from Permitted Development Rights.
Working with a Flood Risk Consultant and the project Architect, JB Planning Associates advised on appropriate changes to the application to overcome the issues raised, and secure prior approval for the Client.
