Client: The Sergeant Family
Local Authority: Tendring District Council
Project Description:
Construction of 89 new dwellings to enable the restoration of a nationally important complex of listed buildings, including a scheduled ancient monument and registered park and garden.
Case Study:
The St Osyth Priory complex comprises a range of nationally important Listed Buildings set within a Registered Park and Garden.
In November 2016 planning permission was secured following a Public Inquiry for enabling development comprising 17 dwellings at various locations within the Park and a further 72 dwellings to the west of the Priory complex. With the benefit of the planning permission a programme of repairs can now be undertaken to the Priory buildings in line with the requirements of a related legal agreement.
JB Planning Associates produced the Environmental Statement to support the planning applications and appeared as an expert planning witness at the Public Inquiry.
