Change of use of offices to create one townhouse and five flats, including external alterations.
Planning permission was secured by JB Planning Associates in March 2016 for change of use of a city centre office building to 6 dwellings. The application was a resubmission following refusal of an earlier application due to its perceived harm on the character and appearance of a locally listed building and on the wider conservation area.
JB Planning Associates advised on appropriate changes to the design of the scheme to overcome the reasons for refusal and prepared a comprehensive application which demonstrated that the proposals represented a sustainable form of development, that should be approved in the context of the Council’s housing land supply shortfall.
